I designed these sleeves inspired by the Black Lotus card and Black decks.
These sleeves are meant for hobby playing, not tournaments.
• 100 sleeves
• 2.6in x 3.6in (fits MTG cards)
• Black inside
• Matte finish on the back
• Smooth feel
I have been buying Paola for about two years now and the quality of these sleeves don't match the quality of her golgari or bloomburrow or her sunflower sleeves (I would know I own them). The backs are smooth same as the rest, BUT the front clear plastic is foggy unlike her better sleeves. However the real problem is the back I can tell you from sleeving up and shuffling only 21 times (I was playtesting) the back of the card has begun to peel hard. This is not the quality I'm used to from Paola. That being said I will hopefully buy these again in the future when she has changed whatever manufacturing technique was used with these. In the mean time these are not worth the sale price and I hope this will not be the quality of sleeve moving forward.
Black Lotus Card Sleeves
The main draw of the sleeves is amazing, and that's the fantastic art. The sleeve quality is great as well, as they shuffle nicely and have a good feel to them. The one caveat I will mention is the clear side, the card facing side, is a little on the glossy side. If card readability is a concern for you, these may not be the best option. Other than that one downside, these are great sleeves.
These sleeves are absolutely amazing. Love the art on them & the feel is so smooth. Highly recommend.
The artwork for these sleeves was the appeal for me. However, after a dozen or so commander games worth of shuffling, the sleeves started to peel. It was to the point that I felt I would be accused of cheating. The foil peeled up so much on certain sleeves that it looked almost like dog-earing the page of a book. I wanted to love these but they were too fragile for me. May not be the case for every order, but for me they did not last before I felt they became unusable.
